Gyeonggi College of Science and Technology (GTEC) was founded by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in order to provide students with intensive education focusing student-centered practical knowledge and training such as on-site internships and practicum. We are proud that this institution has educated three generations of students to become highly capable members of the industrial workforce since being founded in 1966 by the Korean government and with the help of UNESCO as Fine Instrument Center (FIC).
As one of the leading colleges in terms of the amount of funds supporting the industrial academic cooperation, we have emphasized the importance of the practical education. Accordingly, we also rank among the highest in the employment rate of college graduates in the Seoul Capital Area.
GTEC students who get an associate degree focused on learning professional and practical knowledge can join the workforce earlier than 4 year university graduates. However, they also have the opportunity to obtain a bachelor’s degree by completing the advanced course in their major if they choose.
GTEC Scholarship Foundation was established in 2015 to help our most talented students by the benevolence of the entrepreneurs in the region as well as the GTEC alumni and faculty. This foundation has been supporting GTEC graduates who pursue a master’s or doctoral degree at any of the prestigious universities in Korea or abroad. It symbolizes unconditional support for GTEC students’ continuous efforts and challenges.
