village, border
Leidingen is a small village that lies on the border between France (Lorraine region, département 57) and Germany (Saarland state, Kreis Saarlouis). The major part of the village is located in Germany, but some houses are located on French territory. The border even goes along one certain street, the "Neutrale Straße" ("neutral street" — German name) or "Rue de la frontière" ("Street of the border" — French name), with the houses on the left-hand side of the street being in France and the houses on the right-hand side being in Germany.
