  • Hawksbay is a Housing Scheme of CDGK, [City District Government Karachi] Under the Administration of LDA [Lyari Development Authority] a Subsidy/Child Authority of CDGK. But before 1997 it was under the administration of KDA [Karachi Develoment Authority] and is commonly known as KDA Scheme 42 This Housing Scheme was anounced in late 1980's. Hawksbay Housing Scheme 42, is divided in 71 Blocks [Sectors] A few Block has been handed over of the public to start construction, these blocks includes Block 6,9,10 , public transport and complete infrstructure is available there.   • Recently a balloting took place for Hawksbay Plot by the City Government. Through this ballot around 9000 plot were alloted to differenet catagories of the Communities which includes [1] Gerenal Citizens, [2] Civil servents [3] Retired Civil Servents [4] Over Seas Pakistani's [5]Widows and Orphan.. Plots that were offer were of 240 sqyds and 400 sqyds. And the results for this Ballot can be seem at www.alsamadestate.com. Some source confirms that almost 90% of overseas pakistanis got the plots through balloting [there quota was 10% out of 9000 plots] Please rate my comment either good or bad.............
  • I heard that in a press conference The Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri said that the provincial government has no link with residential project announced by the Lyari Development Authority at Hawkesbay scheme- 42. According to her, the city nazim had not consulted the Sindh chief minister or the local government minister about the land........If this is true, then the investment is not fruitful! Moreover, the development of this project may take long time becuase of gap-communication between Governor & chief minister of karachi.....if you guyes know any development, pls post.
  • Well Legally when ever a Housing Scheme is to be announced by whatever Authority the a bill is to be prerseneted in Provronal Assembly, and thereafter the Land is given to such authority to start a housing project, Hawksbay comes under LDA and did went to the same assmbley procedure and was announced by PPP previous era [1990's ] besides LDA [Lyari Development Authority] is child Authority of CDGK, LDA was formed in the same period of PPP last government in mid 1990's .   • hawksbay scheme final payemnt notice is issued and as per the promise at the time of scheme accouncement - this will be developed fully in years and allottess shall construct their houses else plot allotement will be cancelled. what is the development state/ Final payment was subject to handover of possession, are plots demacated to handover for construction? Are land grabers occupaying the land?
