This historic building is known as House of the Lantern (Haus zur Laterne), it was built in 1909-1910 by Julius Brann, a businessman from Zurich. The toy store Zollibolli opened in this building from 1856 until 1872 when it was relocated to House of Scheggen (Haus zur Scheggen) or Lower Scheggen (Unteren Scheggen) at 19 Market Alley. Around the 1980's a bookstore Rösslitor Books, a subsidiary of the Swiss printing and bookselling company Orell Füssli, opened in this building.

Outside the bookstore building along Multer Alley contains a Kantonalbank ATM, it is open 24/7
