house, pumping station
Built in the early 1890s by Hinckley Urban District Council for fresh water supply, the site made use of an existing coal exploration shaft. Later taken over by Leicester City Council, it was initially converted to electric operation, but subsequently closed completely. The buildings remain intact and have been converted to residential use. -Geograph.
