  • I hope some one could write a proper history about this famous village. It has been important in the past for the great Maliks who reinged vast areas of the surrounding villages and were part of the Govt of Kashmir in the sikh or Pathan rein.They have made great IDD Gha ,a large tombe for water storage which served the population untill only few years back.Even when i was an adult living in the village we used to collect the water fromt the pond during winter months as the steams would freeze.They (Maliks) collected technical people like carpenters ,blacksmiths ,Dhobis from all over and settled them in the village.So most of the services were avaiable locally.Even the Sacred heirs present in the Durgah were brought by them. Of courese then followed the Era of Khan Dynasty who came from GUjranwala(probabaly originally from KASHMIR) and settled in this village. They introduced the fruit business in Kashmir and were exporting fruit ti Rawalpindi on camels.They ran it very successfully and eventually whole area adopted the same profession.I am glad to find the villagers very well off because of this business. The village was quite forward in Education as well.Because of the Efforts of famous Ghulam Hassan khan,the village had primary school long before many villages around.This produced people like our late Shourida sahib,malik brothers from Gulglura.Unfortunately the enthusiam of education fell down for many years and had a bad injury since the turmoil.To be continued.
