The island of Iona (56°24'N, 143°23'Е) - steep rocks in the Sea of Okhotsk, located 250 kilometers to the north of Sakhalin, a height of about 300 m. The island uninhabited, it is only an automatic meteorological station and an empty house, it is unknown who built. People come there once a year to change the batteries at the station. The island is a huge rookery and lezhbische sivuchey on the adjacent ruins of the rocks.

Iona Island with the adjacent area is a monument of the nature of regional significance area 80 thousand hectares.
