This big field in The Hague is mainly used for demonstrations and political rallies. The biggest demonstration was on 29th october 1983 against the placement of new nuclear weapons. There where over half a million demonstrators.

  • Recently it is mostly used as a venue for carnivals, circuses and travelling amusement parks. It is not uncommon to see large mechanical rides and carousels during the summer time.
