April to September the small car ferry Alexandros II leaves Corfu new harbour stopping en route at another of the three Diapontian islands, Ericoussa. The trip takes approx 3 hrs. Currently Alex II runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 0700, Friday at 1600 and Sundays 0900. It returns Tuesday and Thursday around 14.30 (not Friday) and Sunday at 1600. Contact us for update.
Alternatively take a bus, or taxi, 50Km to the west coast port of Ag. Stephanos and catch the passenger and small cargos packet boat “Pegasos”. Pegasos leaves at 10.30 am and takes 45mins to Mathraki Island. You will encounter many Mathraki Island citizens, a few tourists heading for the other Diapondia islands, provisions, small building supplies, suitcases, bags of shopping and (yes) a toilet. In summer Pegasos runs on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and returning from Mathraki Island 2.30/4.00 pm.
