In 1902, the Amphidrome, site of some of the first hockey games in the U.S. and home of the first all-professional hockey team was built here. Burnt to the ground in 1927, the "new Amphidrome" was built the next year, and renamed Dee Stadium in 1943. Fell into some disrepair in the 70s, lovingly restored since then.
