The knot garden at the Red Lodge recreates one of the gardens of the Lodge as it might have been 400 years ago.
It is designed around low box hedges taken from a pattern in the plasterwork of the house’s bedroom ceiling. Most of the plants used in it would have been common in the Elizabethan period.
