Volmari Iso-Hollo (1908-1969). Finnish runner who won two gold medals in the Olympic Games for the 3000-metre steeplechase (1932 Los Angeles, 1936 Berlin). In addition, he won Olympic silver in '32 and bronze in '36 for 10,000-metre run.
Iso-Hollo lived and worked in Kerava all his life and this statue was erected in his honor 1994. It's of bronze and by Erkki Kannosto.
