  • While there is the old place called "Khadda" in Lyari, several other places with similar characteristic have also been name "Khadda".
  • In early 1970s - whenever it rained, this 'khadda' used to become a pond and all of my 3 maternal uncles - along with a few of their friends - used to go there to learn to swim. Until this place started to develop in the late 70s - it was nothing but a concavity. This depressed piece of land was developed into a market, this is why it became known as the 'Khadda market.'
