In the beginning of the last century the textile artist Ida Sahlström built a restaurant in Old Norse style. She established a summer boarding house, with the intention to honour the beauty of arts. Ida’s siblings Anna and Bror Sahlström decorated the interior walls and designed furniture and Ida contributed with her skills in textile. This wonderful milieu is carefully preserved. Sillegården is a popular place to visit in summer. The unique restaurant, with its cafe´ veranda together with arts, exhibitions, handicraft shop and charming rooms.

Sillegården presents interesting exhibitions by Swedish and international artists during the summer.
