More properly known as Pescadero Rocks.
It has been said that Ghost Tree is the only surf spot in the world where you might find yourself riding a 30 foot wave over dry rocks.

In the early afternoon of 4 December 2007 local big wave veteran Pete Davi was attempting reach shore without aid of a ski and got separated from his board. He was last seen being washed into Pescadero Rocks. A half hour later he was found floating face down in a clump of kelp. Paramedics arrived within minutes but by then there was nothing they could do. The coroner declared death by drowning, along with head injuries.
