Professor Jadwiga Szustrowa, MD, PhD was born in 1890. She was a social worker who devoted her entire life and medical education to the fight against tuberculosis. In the years 1949-1961, she worked in a building at 7/9 Moniuszki Street. There, on the front of the building, there is also a commemorative plaque commemorating the professor. Jadwiga Szustrowa died on May 14, 1961. She was buried at the Cemetery in Doły.
