  Veblungsnes( Rauma municipality, in the county of Møre and Romsdal, Norway) is situated at the bottom of the Romsdlsfjord and at the outlet of the river Rauma. From ancient times it has been a road junction, connecting the West and East of the country. Here are also traces of ancient settlements dating back to year 600. The town was heavily bombed during WW2, and most of the houses were burnt. After the war it was rebuilt, but never regained its former importance. Today there are about 250 residents in this little town along E-136, three km from Åndalsnes. You find a church (Grytten kirke) from 1829 and a woolfactory(Rauma ullvarefabrikk).
