An affordable-living, ecologically-aware housing complex in southern Freiburg. Residents mostly include young families, as well as students from the local university. A number of the buildings were formerly used as housing for the French soldiers that were stationed there (in accordance to treaties made following World War II) until they were pulled out in 1992.
