What parents mostly want for their children is a value-based life. It could be character, integrity, virtue, morality, ethics or just everything combined. The knowledge students learn from mathematics, science, history and languages will amount to nothing if schools do not teach them moral values and respect for the rights of others as well. Moral values, or ethics and respect for others, should be a major subject right from kindergarten up to the college level. Moral values involve the principles of knowing right from wrong, while respect for the rights of others is self-explanatory. Apart from routine studies, we at VISION-Krishna have been specially focusing on this since past 10 years.
1) We at VISION-Krishna teach by example
We are the first teachers that a child has. To teach them moral values, our teachers try to make their lives, living examples of good moral behavior.
2) We at VISION-Krishna share values
We share most cherished values with our kids and also ensure that we practice what we preach. We feel glad if our students point out that we have wrongly parked our car.
3) For us discipline means to teach, not punish
We tell our students what behaviour we expect and when they do something wrong, we do not use punishment as a means of teaching values.

4) We at VISION-Krishna incorporate the golden rule.
What is the golden rule? It is ‘Treat others as you want to be treated.’ We teach this to our children and make it our school’s moral principle.
5) We at VISION-Krishna make teaching fun with stories that have morals.
Know why kids love Panchtantra stories? These are entertaining short stories that illustrate a particular moral and teach lessons. The characters are animals that act and talk just like people which is very appealing to students. So we have film shows every week where students understand good values like being honest pays in life and we must respect our elders.
