Napoleon III entrusts to the architect Jean Lefaure the realization of a villa for his stays in Vichy. The Chalet of Rose will be a part of a series of seven chalets to meet the needs of the emperor, his family and its security service. It is a building of Savoyard style work of which the big main part consists of rubble stones pointed by a gravel flooded in some pink cement. A wooden frieze reigns between the pine cog and the first floor. Two windows coupled and stocked with a valance occupy the center of the pine cog.
