Houtdok and Zwaaidok. Belong with the Vlotdok to the "New Commercial Docks", the current Trade Port, conducted as part of an expansion of the port from 1898 to 1914. 1906: south of the Zwaaidok is applied a marshalling yard.
1932-1936: construction of new goods station south of the docks. Houtdok of Vlotdok separated by a movable wooden bridge, replaced in 2000 by two new identical drawbridges; Zwaaidok directly linked Houtdok.
Zwaaidok dimensions: 387 m long, 167 m greatest width, 8.25 m depth. The total length of the quay walls of the Wood and Zwaaidok, directly connected to one another, is 1048 m. On the south quay of the Zwaaidok's shipbuilding yard Belliard Murdoch NV located. The Connection, also from 1898-1914, with sloping quay walls, the Zwaaidok connects with the canal Bruges-Ostend-Ghent.
