  • I would appreciate if this prison can be renovated at all costs, cause it clearly shows that even if you are sick you won't be released. At least if these people sleep in good beds, eat with proper eating utensils to avoid all these deases. We are paying tax let atleast our brothers serve their sentences in the decent / proper place for human beings.
  • I really think that the department of correctional services should let the lovers of prisoners to be granted access to their loved ones once a year so that the rate of raping in prisons can decrease in short i mean let us spend the day in the cells together romantically or just make a day whereby we have the whole day together cause these prisoners come back after a long time and they don't have any EXPERIENCE OF BEING ROMANTIC(PHYSICALLY).MY BOYFRIEND OF FIVE YEARS CAME BACK SEXUALLY DEPRESSED DUE TO BEING INCARCERATED FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME I PLEAD TO YOU NGCONDO BALFOUR THAT GIVES US A DAY SO THAT THEY CAN ALSO FEEL LOVED IN PRISONS.

  • Prisoners sentenced a longer duration without with no academic achievements should be encouraged to study so that they come out of jail with something valuable. This can also be used as a measure to commitment in life.

  • the warders r pathetic, isnt it enough that thses men r in prison, its already hell in there, then warders wana treat them even worse,i have been there and the male warders r rude and very bossy, thses men r still human beings i wonder hw you would have felt if it was ur brother in there being ill treated! there are so much ppl in high places that can make a difference in that prison but they wont coz they eat everythng up with the warders, its really a shame, god be with u all!

  • A very close friend of mine has been in there for three weeks and he says that hell sure sounds like a better place. He's adamant that he'd rather die than stay in there. I am truly worried about him as he is getting no psychological help. He is a good citizen, a loving father, son and husband. I just wish there were better places to rehabilitate him as he clearly won't be a better man after his term.

  • Corruption will never end as prison warders are so corrupt. I saw them taking a lot of Money from a Nigarian guy ,for some one who is still on trial to be given.The warders they were very happy as you couldn't see that they where broke.ya ne corruption will never end at all nx

  • I was the on 28th of December 2013,the place is hell no 1 deserve to be the..just a law is the law .i was shaking n scared dint know what to expect...but what can we say after all justice need to be done...i feel for them..mostly i ask my self whats up in their mind...honesty i hate the place i even told my man ...that only love brings me here to see you i cant watch other people suffer ...on top of suffering....

  • what are all the complaints about. let me help. some of them deserve to be in prison and now they are angels. What about the poor victims who must live with the pain caused by the crime for the rest of their lives we tend to forget about them. Husbands, dads and children were killed and now they deserve royal treatment. Never. For those who smuggle if you stop the warders will stop I think they are as human as the rest of us.

  • Moderbee is defnitly not a nice place to visit and it's very difficult to see the people inside the prison. But you have to ask yourself it's their own fault that they end up in prison and I do feel sorry for them. I just want to find out is there a family day at moderbee prison like Zonderwater prison do they get family days?
