Chaldiran plain (Turkish: Çaldıran ovası) or Bazit'agh plain (Armenian: Բազիթաղի դաշտ) is a plain about 15 km northeast from Lake Van in Armenian Highlands. Most of historical timeline was inhabited by Armenians, up to 1915-23 Armenian genocide. Since the 1920 belongs to Turkey and resettled mostly by Kurds.

Side of the famous Battle of Chaldiran, between Ottoman and Safavid Empires.
It is considered a turning point in Middle East history, as Ottoman Empire expanded to Armenia, in Eastern Anatolia and Northern Mesopotamia, while help from a Union of Kurdish tribes.
