Nankana Sahib District (Urdu/Punjabi: ننکانہ صاحب) is a district in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Nankana Sahib is principle town of the district. The district, formerly part of Sheikhupura District, was created in 2005 - this led to five days of protests in the town of Khanqah Dogran, whose residents opposed inclusion in the new district, in which a mob burnt down a police station[1].
