Yuksekova - (Turkish: Yüksekova, meaning: Upper Plain) or Vorsiranqi dasht (Armenian: Որսիրանքի դաշտ), also Gavar plain (Armenian: Գավառի դաշտ) - is a small valley in southern part of Armenian Highlands, at southeast of currant-day's Turkey. Historical name Vorsiranq it gets from the same name of the district of Armenian Kingdom's Korduk' Province. Since the 1921 the name was turkified according to a decree of turkification of all Armenian toponyms, Kemal Ataturk issued after the Greater Genocide of Armenians in Ottoman Empire (1915-1923).
