Wembley Arena is an indoor arena at Wembley in the London Borough of Brent. It was named Empire Pool until 1978. Originally opened in 1934, the arena was renovated from 2005 to 2006 at a cost of £35,000,000 and has a seating capacity of 12,500.
It has been host to various sports and entertainment events and concerts by top musical artists. During the 1948 Summer Olympics, it hosted the boxing, diving, swimming, and water polo events. During the 2012 Summer Olympics, it will host the badminton and rhythmic gymnastics events.
