    this is the site of the red and blue arrow walks, which are rather popular among locals and tourists. neither is very demanding though the blue arrow does tend to drag on for a bit too long, depending on your fitness. the entrance to these walks are located nearest the botanical gardens and airport, on the south side of the feature. the red arrow provides some nice views of the bay, the cbd and the suburbs surrounding, the blue arrow provides some really great views of the airport and the coast. take your camera.

    The walks are contained within the Mt Whitfield Conservation Park, whose highest peak is Mt Whitfield. Mt Lumley Hill (named after Charles Lumley Hill) is the second highest peak in the park. A Green Arrow walk has recently been added.
