Famously known as DJ College.
Originally "D.J. Sindh Government Science College Karachi". Bulchand Dayaram and Daulatram Jethamal were the persons behind the effort to get the college started. Architect J. Strachan prepared the original drawings. Foundation stone was laid by Lord Dufferin, the viceroy of India, on Nov 14, 1887.

  • I graduated from DJ in 1960..am so proud to have been a DJ student..should I call myself a DJite or a DJarian as Moeen Kazmi and Ranaaslam above have chosen but as the Founder of Pakistan, the late Mr Jinnah said "You can call a rose by any name, it is always a rose" and so is our DJ College, a rose in the grden of education...may our college be always there to guide and educate the coming generations as it guided us to become useful citizens of the world.
