This is the original location of Markostaw as it existed before the war.
You can still see the remnants of the main road that crossed the river which included two dams and bridges.
A small Polish colony existed to the west just south of the current southern tip of Bubnow. (Bubniv).
My great uncle Michal Kalurzynski owned the mill and dams.
