Serving Sweets for the Sweet in Los Angeles since 1938! Founded by Fung Chow Chan and his wife, Wai Hing and still operated by a third generation of the Chan family today, our little Chinese bakery serves families and celebrities alike for all occasions. We specialize in birthday cakes while providing for weddings and quinceañera as well. Our wide variety of pastries (including our famous strawberry whipped cream cake!) and traditional Chinese desserts are perfect for everyday temptations and may be ordered for special events. We invite you to come experience a part of our history and we guarantee to help satisfy your sweet tooth! The current bakery facility was built in 1977 by the second generation Chan family, due to the increasing customers and demand from its original location, which was located a few blocks where Phoenix is now. At the same time, the Phoenix Bakery became famous in all of Los Angeles for being a little Chinese bakery making a "not-too-sweet " and "not so Chinese" cake.
