Gorey is a beach-side small suburban and traditional resort town in Jersey on its east coast. Its long beach along Grouville Bay which extends past fields in the south and Mont Orgueil castle at the northern end of the beach closest to the town are its key features along with fortifications of the Second World War constructed for the island's defence by its Nazi Germany occupiers.
