estate (manor / mansion land), tourist attraction
First mentioned as an episcopal manor in 1449. From 1809, the manor belonged to the noble family of Pilar von Pilchau. A wooden manor house was built at the end of the 18th century, but was destroyed in 1941. Still, several valuable surrounding buildings have been preserved – distillery, granary, servants’ house with corner tower, and others. A family graveyard of the Pilar von Pilchau family is located near the centre of the estate. By the historical distribution the manor was in Audru Parish in Pärnumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Audru Municipality in Pärnumaa County.
