The Busan Cinema Center, built at a cost of about 150 million USD, consists of three buildings; Cine Mountain, BIFF Hill, and Double Cone. BIFF Theater is an outdoor theater that seats 4,000 with the Small Roof, and Dureraum Square with the Big Roof. The Busan Cinema Center, built on a 32,137m²/8acre plot, occupies 54,335m²/13.4acre of performance, dining, entertainment, and administrative area is the home of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

The center has two steel roofs, the Big Roof over Dureraum Square is 163m/535ft long x 60m/197ft wide with a cantilever portion extending 85m/279ft from its column support weighing 6,376 metric tons. The Small Roof covering the outdoor BIFF Theater has a span of 70m/230ft and an area of 66m/217ft x 120m/394ft and weighs 1,236 metric tons.

The Big Roof over Dureraum Square has the longest cantilever roof, certified by Guinness World Records on September 29, 2011. The ceilings of the Big and Small Roofs are clad with 23,910 and 18,690 LED lights respectively.
