Chandni Chowk is a new Chowk but it has become very important. Previously Katra Chowk was the very busy market place but this chowk is an addition to the previous one.There are State Bankof India, Canara Bank, Telephone Exchange, Telecom Centre at Chandni Chowk. Very close to this chowkis a Lalu-Rajo market. Besides these the Government offces like Registry Office, SDO's Office, Jail, ollectorate,Civil Courts and residences of SDO, DSP, District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police etc. are about 200-300 meters off Chandni Chowk and this is the reason behind the increased importanceof this chowk. A sproling Pagtel Nagar is behind this Chowk.
