Grade II Listed (UK), viaduct (bridge construction style)
A 340 feet (100 m) Grade II listed viaduct built to carry the Manchester, Bury and Rossendale Railway 70 feet (21 m) above the River Irwell. The original timber structure opened in 1846 and was converted to cast iron in 1881. Following a period of disuse it was restored and opened to the general public as a footpath in 1999.
