Ashgabat Airport (IATA: ASB, ICAO: UTAA), also known as Ashkhabad Airport, formerly Saparmurat Turkmenbashy International Airport, is the only international airport in Turkmenistan. It is located approximately 10 km (6 mi) northwest of the capital Ashgabat (Ashkhabad). The airport, along with its air traffic control tower and a new 12,000 foot-long precision-approach runway (12L-30R), opened in 1994 and was named after the country's first president, Saparmyrat Niyazov.

The facility consists of a single arrivals/departures hall and is the only airport in Turkmenistan with direct international flights.
