Campus for Edinburgh Napier University Business School

Craiglockhart Campus
Edinburgh EH14 1DJ

In August 2004, Craiglockhart re-opened for business after a £30m massive extension and refurbishment programme, and is now the most modern Business School in Scotland.

Craiglockhart Campus boasts some of the most modern teaching and learning facilities in Scotland. It is a landmark building which is not only a feature of the University but also part of Edinburgh’s rich architectural mix. The most striking part of this development is the egg-shaped Lindsay Stewart lecture theatre that faces directly towards Edinburgh castle. The titanium-covered ‘egg’ can seat up to 200 students and its oval shape improves interaction and acoustics, because it allows students to be closer to the lecturer at the front of the hall.

Great care has been made to integrate the new development with the site’s existing historic nineteenth Century buildings. Alongside the ‘egg’ there is a 400-seat wedge-shaped lecture theatre, also designed to ensure excellent acoustics, and a teaching block.

The campus is home to the University’s Business School, one of the biggest business schools in Scotland with around 4,000 students. One of our major roles is to assist students to become fully contributing business professionals, ready for the challenges of doing business in the 21st century. We continuously work to ensure that our courses remain applied, relevant and up-to-date, and new courses are introduced to reflect ongoing changes in the global business environment.

The Faculty comprises:

* School of Accounting, Economics & Statistics
* School of Management & Law
* School of Marketing, Tourism & Languages
