Interesting but little known fact: you can estimate occupancy rates by the prevalence of ~1m satellite dishes mounted on the outside of gaijin apartment buildings, as clearly seen in the photograph (the photo was taken within the first couple of weeks of the apartment building opening... and we see that with one dish on the top floor.

  • Yes, that was my dish. I was the first to live in Apt# 802. Nice view, wonderful structure, but other gaijins (notably Marine E-3s and E-4s) living on lower floors severely degraded the building's livability.
  • My wife lives here, great views and breeze from the ocean. She is an Navy E-7 and the building is quiet and very nice.
