The manor, first mentioned in 1323, was later more closely associated with the von Knorrings and von Schulmanns. The Baroque main building, probably constructed in many stages in the 18th century, had a single-storey main part but a three-storey middle part, which was exceptional at the time. Today the building is in ruins. By the historical distribution the manor was in Lääne-Nigula Parish in Läänemaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Oru Municipality in Läänemaa County.
