  Lakhur Bandh is the second big pond in Senera. Bara Sayer was the biggest pond but hardly anybody drank water from Bara Sayer. The water from Lakhur Bandh, Kamalia and Dolur bandh was much preferred as drinking water. But the Government wells in Rangamati and near the primary school were better source of water when people became more knowledgeable about the importance of drinking water. When Anai was living in Senera only once he witnessed the emergence of cholera in the village and most probably it was caused by contaminated water.
