Goliath is a transmitting radio station of the ultra-long wave range, providing radio communication with submarines at a distance of up to 4000 kilometres (2,500 miles). Goliath is located in the Kstovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region near the village of Druzhny, originally created for the military serving this radio station. The radio station is part of the Beta accurate time service network. According to the international classification, this transmitter has the code RJH99.
Height of ring masts: 170 metres (560 feet). The ring masts are grounded.
Height of the central mast: 204 metres (670 feet). The central masts are isolated from the ground.
