This bridge connects Chittaranjan with the neighbouring jharkhand state. The bridge was completely ravaged during September,2000 due to overflowing of Ajay river after a torrential spell of rain in damodar valley;but reconstructed later. This bridge plays a very important role in connecting poor villagers from the neighbouring backward villages of jharkhand with Chittaranjan from where they earn their bread and butter in daily basis, especially during the rainy season when crossing Ajay river becomes almost impossible by any other means.. the landscape around this place is excellent, particularly from the Jharkhand bank. the bridge is a kind of inter-state check post between west-bengal and jharkhand manned by RPF personnel from Chittaranjan.only padestrians and two-wheelers can cross the bridge due to it's narrow width. This bridge was constructed by railways.
