The historic town centre of Warwick, encircled by its city gates and flanked on its southern side by Warwick Castle. There are many buildings with mediaeval parts, but the Great Fire of Warwick in 1694 means that many of the buildings in the town centre are now late 17th and early 18th century in origin.
