Gravesite

Syria / Damaskus / Qatana /
on a rocky cliff close to the ruins you find chambers being chiseled out of the limestone, most probably graves of the monastery. Later used as shelters against the harsh wheather by local shepards with their lifestock, no antique remains can be found any more. Part of the site was used later as a smaller limestone quarry.
