  • HISTORY OF ABBOT SHISHU HALL IMAMBAZAR ROAD, HOOGHLY - 712103. This is an English medium Co- Educational Institution, which was started in 1979 by Mrs. & Mr. Mohsen A. Shirazi. for providing all round leadership and character building, and to impart quality education to the children of the locality. Location: The institution is centrally located and is situated opposite the famous Hooghly Imambarah. It is under Hooghly Chinsurah Municipality. This school has earned quite a name and potentiality of growth is enormous Even the need based extra-curricular activities and discipline are taught and appreciated by all. This school is celebrating it's 30th anniversary year ( Pearl Anniversary) this year i.e. 2008 The faculty members are duly qualified and devoted . The premises of the school is covered in an area of 61 Cottahs and 3 chittaks, and negotiations are on to acquire more land for the school in the adjacent areas.It has two playgrounds, and a large football field. This school has a mini-auditorium of its own and has Generaturs for the convenient of students during power cuts. Computer teaching lab and the state of the art science laboratories are there. This school also has a large reading room and a well stocked library. We have municipality water arrangement and has filter drinking water facility for the students. Our institution is recognised by the education department of the Government of West Bengal and is Affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. The School has Classes from Lower Nursery to Class X, although plans are there to upgrade this school upto Class XII.
