The Basin Triangle is bordered by Mountain Highway, Forest Road, and Church Street, in The Basin, an outer eastern suburb of Melbourne, located within the City of Knox. Comprised mainly of parkland (with a large and well-developed playground), it is the site of the local Scouts hall, a senior citizens centre, The Basin Volunteer Fire Brigade (CFA) station, a community hall ("The Basin Progress Hall"), and The Basin Pavilion (an outdoor covered stage used for performing arts events). Significant events that take place at the triangle include The Basin Community Carols by Candlelight, and The Basin Music Festival. Surrounding the triangle is a shopping area offering wide variety of shopping, including restaurants, cafes, clothing, personal services, auto repair, jewellery, books, and a post office. This area is served by bus route 755.
