Provinzial Heil - und Pflegeanstalt Allenberg (Provincial Psychiatric Hospital Allenberg) was a medical institution for the mentally ill, which operated from 1852 to 1940 in Velau (now Znamensk) in East Prussia. The hospital was built in 4 years (from 1848 to 1852), on the left bank of the Alle (Lava) river. After opening on September 1, 1852, the first 59 people were sent there from the Königsberg clinics. In 1873, the number of beds increased to 250, in 1900 - to 1000, and by 1929 there were already 1400 patients in the hospital. Was the largest complex in the region, in addition to hospitals in Tapiau and Olsztyn. There was even the expression "he's from Allenberg"; this meant that the person had mental problems. In 1909, a smallpox epidemic began in Allenberg. During the war, many patients also died of influenza, tuberculosis and malnutrition, and in 1918 only 586 patients remained there.

In June 1940, the hospital in Allenberg was liquidated, its patients were partially distributed among other similar institutions in East Prussia, and some of the patients were transferred to families for care. According to another version, the mentally ill, in accordance with the ideology of National Socialism, were destroyed ("verlegt")

After 1945, the buildings were transferred to the Soviet army and used as a military unit.
In 2012, Serdyukov disbanded a part and the object became available to adventure seekers.
