An indoor sporting arena -- Taipei Arena is situated where the former Taipei City Baseball Stadium (built in 1958, opened 1959, demolished 2000) used to be. It was designed by Archasia. Taipei Arena started its operation on December 1st, 2005.
The main arena has an adjustable floor space, its minimum floor space is 60m x 30m, and can be extended to 80m x 40m.
The Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey League (CTIHL) plays out of the auxiliary arena. Established a few years ago this league consists of 7 teams vying for the coveted Morrison cup. While this league is non contact, flying elbows and vicious eye gouging is prevalent.
The auxiliary arena is a 60m x 30m ice skating rink.
