My village Deyasha is in Dist. Burdwan, West Bengal, nearest Rly Station is Noadar Dhal and it is about 30 miles away from District Town. According to historian Nirod Baran Sarkar Lord Budha took shelter in this village and then it was known as 'DHESAKNAGAR' , he came to this village from Sutaknagar, now Suata, within P.S. Aushgrtam [Bartaman Patrika, dt. 22-07-2005. Many old temples still carrying the simbol of old heritage of this village. It is totally Hindu populated village and most of them depend on cultivation. Some engage in business and service and live outside but they love their village and come in the occasions . Durgapuja of Banerjee family is very famous in this village. Chakrabary Family also celebrate Durga Puja. The villagers enjoyed most in Dharmaraj Puja which is celebrated gorgeously for three days. Inspite of political discordant, people want to live peacefully. The village needs some development in roads and communication, health and education.
