Detached five-bay two-storey bank and manager's house, built c. 1930, having two-bay full-height return to rear, single-bay two-storey hipped-roof block to south-west corner, and having single-bay single-storey hipped-roof extension recessed to east gable, and canted-bay full-height extension to rear.
This building occupies a prominent site at the junction of three streets and closing a vista from Main Street. Its large-scale palazzo-style form is befitting of such a site. The Classical ornamentation adds a symmetry and rhythm to the front façade and enhances the imposing form of the structure. The decorative scheme is well designed and orchestrated. The building retains notable features such as the timber sash windows, those to the arcaded ground floor being particularly interesting. The boundary railings and piers enhance the site and add further design appeal to the building.
